Postpartum Yoga & Nutrition Workshop
Motherhood is beautiful—but it can also feel really hard. This workshop is designed to support your healing journey after birth with a holistic approach to body and mind. We will start with a 45-minute all levels yoga flow. Following the flow we will move into a 30-minute interactive nutrition discussion. We will cover topics such as, how and why nutrition shifts after pregnancy and birth, postpartum nutrient priorities and how to work them into your diet, how nutrition can support emotional health, and discuss common challenges and solutions.
What to Expect:
Who it’s for*: Soon to be pregnant, pregnant, and postpartum mamas (anytime postpartum counts!). *Pregnant mamas must have no contraindications and postpartum mamas must be past 6-week clearance.
You’ll leave feeling grounded, nourished, and empowered with tools to care for yourself.
Led by certified yoga teacher and nutrition therapy practitioner, Katie Tougas.

Hi my name is Katie! I hold my 200 hr. certification from Wild Wisdom Yoga and I have also completed the Karma Kids teacher training. I am a certified nutritional therapy practitioner as well as a third grade teacher. I started yoga years ago to do something for me and to help balance my athletic life with my body awareness. I grew up a national level swimmer and now do any and all exercise! Yoga has been a great tool to help me learn more about body awareness and what serves my mind and body and I love to help others find this awareness.
In my nutrition therapy practice, I specialize in postpartum nutritional support by guiding mothers through one of the most transformative times of their lives. I help mamas heal and fuel their bodies so they can feel like themselves. I combine my knowledge as a nutritional therapy practitioner with my knowledge as a postpartum nutrition specialist to help mothers during this time. I am right there in the thick of it with you as I have a one year old daughter -- I know that navigating postpartum nutrition is not easy! But, I am here, for you, to take that load of your plate (pun intended).
Katie also teaches a sweet "Rise & Reset" yoga flow at the JG Fitness & Performance ANNEX on Thursday mornings from 6:15am-7am.
