The North Kingstown Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the North Kingstown area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2024 North Kingstown Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the North Kingstown Award Program and data provided by third parties.

JG Fitness & Performance was born of my passion for helping others realize the positive impact that exercise and nutrition can have on one's life. My passion is shared by those we bring on staff as teachers and trainers, as we work together to create a space in the community for people to come improve their health and fitness in body, mind and spirit.
Our personal training clients range from those looking to make a lifestyle change, to athletes seeking to reach a higher level of performance. Working with us, you are treated as an individual, even in the small group setting, and a high level of care and attention to detail goes into developing effective yet enjoyable workouts SPECIFICALLY for YOU.
In our ANNEX location, our primary goal with creating this space was to build community — both among our JG Fitness & Performance clients and also the community at large. Every body is invited to join us for yoga, meditation, our workshops, & other special events.
We are very proud of the spaces we hold in the community. Stop by and check us out!
CUSTOMIZATION is KEY. Nobody's body is like yours.
YOU are UNIQUE. You have your own wants, needs, and goals.
That's why your program is designed SPECIFICALLY for YOU.
We believe in a holistic approach to coaching in order to deliver a well balanced program that will help you achieve your goals. Workouts generally include strength training, flexibility, corrective exercises, metabolic conditioning, yoga moves, and recovery methods.

A true lifestyle change means more than just working out. While exercise IS important, so is how you treat your body through nutrition, with active recovery, and sometimes even complete rest. That’s why nutrition and lifestyle coaching is offered in combination with or as complement to all my fitness training programs.

Increased strength benefits not only your muscles and bones but also your joints, balance, & bodyweight - and in sports, improves performance and helps to prevent injury.

Metabolic conditioning produces similar cardiovascular improvements and better total-body results in shorter amounts of time than long-steady state cardio exercise.

Strength and conditioning for sports helps strengthen your muscles; correct imbalances; improve mobility; stabilize joints; enhance coordination, and so much more.

Fitness is NOT just about exercise. So much about your overall health, well-being, sports performance, recovery, and reaching your goals depends on how and what you eat!

Strength, conditioning, nutrition, & proper recovery ALL play an important role in maintaining AND improving your quality of life, especially if you lead an active one!

The benefits of yoga & meditation are far-reaching. From physical, mental, and spiritual aspects, these techniques can help train your body, center your mind, and energize your life.

Join Michelle Gauvin this January for a 7-Week Meditation & Mindfulness Course that will include the study of Don Miguel Ruiz's book -- "The Four Agreements". Each week, you'll meditate on different tenants from the book and share our thoughts and reflections in nonjudgemental, small group setting. Michelle will create a safe space for ALL as you start your new year from a heart-centered space!
Join Joan this New Year & take some time to replenish and restore the mind, body, and spirit during a 90-minute restorative retreat on Saturday January 10, from 2:30-4:00. This is a gentle practice designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) through conscious stillness and quiet movement. The focus of this restorative class will be on postures that will allow you to deeply relax and let the tension drain away. Bolsters, blocks, and blankets will be used to support your body allowing for an effort-less practice.
